Race for the Cure » Race Registration (Teams)

Registration for the 2008 Race for the Cure® will open in JUNE.

What Is a Team?
A team is a group of 12 or more people who want to participate in the race. This group may consist of organizations, schools, churches, neighborhoods, families, friends, etc. Both men and women can participate in both events—5K Run/Walk and One-Mile Community Walk. Anyone who wants to join in the fight against breast cancer can be on your team. There is no limit to the number of members on a team. Team members do not need to participate in the same event; some may choose the One-Mile Community Walk while others choose the 5K Run/Walk.

Form a Team

Teams are encouraged to carry signs or banners with your team logo proudly displayed. Some teams have specially designed T-shirts that they wear as well. Prizes are awarded to teams in the following categories: Largest, Best Team Logo, Most Survivors, Greatest Age Range, and Most Spirited.

Team members can help each other raise pledge money. Teams can hold events through out the year to raise money such as bake sales, auctions or charging a fee for a casual dress day at work. There are great prizes for the top three teams that raise the most pledge money.

TEAM PACKET PICK-UP

Team packet pick-up will be held on Saturday, September 13th at RiverTown Crossings Mall 2nd floor food court from 10am to 5pm.  AN APPOINTMENT IS REQUIRED.

TEAM ID LIST AND TEAM CAPTAIN'S INFORMATION- please check for your team ID number if you have participated in the past before requesting a new number. If you are on a reoccuring team, you will keep the same number each year. If you are a brand new team, please e-mail us for a number to be assigned to you. This also includes the team captain's name and phone numner and/or e-mail.  See TEAM ID LISTwww.komengr.org/uploads/2007 Team ID list(1).xls.

TO REGISTER ON-LINE AS A TEAM MEMBER - regsitration will be available in June.  Be sure to have your team name and number from your Team Captain.
